Connecticut Friday forecast: Winds, biting cold replace snow; warmer weather coming

Related Topics: National Weather Service

The forecasted snow didn’t fall in most of the state, but winter is still making its presence known on its last day with cold temperatures and wind.

There was not enough steady cold air to form the 1-2 inches originally expected, the National Weather Service said Thursday night. Instead, strong wind gusts from the north are expected to blow Friday morning, and the temperature will drop to the low 20s Friday night.

UPDATE 10 PM: With the back edge of the precipitation starting to move out and not enough cold air locked in place we've reduced our snowfall amounts accordingly.
