Snow may fall at higher elevations in Hartford, Litchfield, Tolland and Windham counties, said Gary Lessor, chief meteorologist at the Western Connecticut State University Weather Center.
“Basically, we have cold air draining southward from Canada,” he said. Saturday’s high temperature will be only about 45 degrees – 25 degrees colder than normal.
If it snows, it won’t be the only time Connecticut saw snow this far into spring. On May 9, 1977, 1.3 inches of snow fell in Hartford County, Lessor said.
