NWS meteorologists say there is a chance of snow showers before 3 p.m., then a slight chance of rain showers between 3-4 p.m., followed by a slight chance of snow after 4 p.m.
Some places in Connecticut already saw some snow early Wednesday. Light snow was falling in Tolland County at dawn, and snow fell in the capital area as well.
The high temperature Wednesday is expected to reach the mid-to-upper 30s, but it is expected to drop to around 18 degrees overnight.
Thursday will gradually become sunny, with a high in the mid-30s. The low temperature Thursday night will be in the upper 20s.
