Say goodbye to the warm weather and get ready for a storm to hit Connecticut Wednesday afternoon.
The temperature will begin a steep drop Wednesday, and the colder air will set the stage for storms that may be severe in parts of the state.
The best chance of strong to possibly severe weather will be in the Connecticut River valley west to eastern New York, said Alan Dunham, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. “Severe” means strong winds may cause damage, such as downed trees and electrical wires, which may trigger power outages.
