Classes at a Hartford school have resumed after a bomb threat triggered an evacuation Wednesday morning, a school spokesman said.

A student at E.B. Kennelly School, 180 White St., said there was a bomb on the roof shortly before 9 a.m., causing administrators to call the police and fire departments, John Fergus said.

Hartford’s bomb squad was called to the scene, and members checked the building. They didn’t find any explosive device and determined that it was safe for students and staff to return. The building was cleared to be reoccupied about 10:10 a.m., Fergus said.

Bridgeport police reported that the city received two bomb threats, one at a train station and a second at its Emergency Communications Center.
