Kevin Ollie has his first commit for the 2017 recruiting class and potentially the next great guard to play in Storrs. Makai Ashton-Langford, a four-star recruit who recently transferred to Brewster Academy, committed to the Huskies on Monday as first reported by Adam Finkelstein.
The 6-foot-3 prospect plays his summer ball for Mass Rivals and is Rivals’ 40th ranked player nationally in the class of 2017. 247 Sports and ESPN Recruiting have him ranked 33rd in the nation. Current Husky guard Jalen Adams also attended Brewster Academy and played for Mass Rivals.
Ashton-Langford helped bring Cushing to the New England final, where they lost to Vermont Academy.
