Police have arrested a city man who they said stabbed another man in the neck last week in Hartford.
Keith Chaney, 48, of New Britain Avenue was charged with first-degree assault Wednesday after he was pulled over by West Hartford police during a traffic stop, police said. His bail was set at $175,000.
On that afternoon, police were called to Sigourney Square Park for a stabbing. When officers arrive, they found evidence of the stabbing but did not find the victim. They cordoned off the area and began investigating.
At the same time, the victim was dropped off at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, police said.
