Starting next season, Washington Wizards fans will be tuning into a new broadcast crew for games. According to the Washington Post, NBC Sports Washington will announce a new play-by-play announcer and two new analysts, with one of them being UConn great Caron Butler.
Butler, who has appeared as an analyst on ESPN and Turner Sports amongst other networks since retiring in 2018, will share the analyst role with fellow NBA veteran Drew Gooden. Gooden will call a majority of the games, but the two should be an excellent replacement for Kara Lawson, who left to take an assistant coaching role with the Boston Celtics this offseason.
