A city man was charged with homicide after, police said, he violated a number of protective orders and killed his long-term girlfriend Sunday on Vance Drive.
Kevin Bard, 54, was also charged with violation of protective order and criminal trespass. He was held overnight on $1 million bond, and faced a judge Monday.
Officers were called to the home about 9:25 p.m. Sunday when asked to check on the well-being of a woman living there.
