Warning that he’s at a crossroads in his life, a federal judge sentenced Elkie Crump to a little more than four years in prison for his fourth conviction for dealing drugs in central Connecticut.
“You’ve spent more than half of your adult life incarcerated,” U.S. District Court Judge Janet Hall told Crump on Wednesday morning. “This has got to to stop. You’re a mature adult at this point — you should be making better choices.”
Crump, who turns 39 on Thursday, pleaded guilty last summer to possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute and possessing crack cocaine with intent to sell.
