A Bridgeport teen who police say has been “a person of interest in several recent shootings in the city,” was arrested and charged with 11 offenses Friday.
Marcus Arriaga, 18, was initially charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree larceny, carjacking and risk of injury.
Around noon Friday, officers “set up” around the 18-year-old’s residence, when they saw him leave and begin walking towards a gas station nearby.
“As Arriaga entered the middle of the street, Task Force Officers all wearing exterior out police tactical vests which clearly stated, ‘POLICE’, began to exit their vehicles and approach Arriaga,” police said.
