A Bridgeport man was charged with the 2019 death of 4-month-old from New Haven, officials said.
Angel Rodriguez, 35, appeared before a New Haven judge Monday, where he was ordered held on $500,00 bail on charges of first-degree manslaught and risk of injury in connection with the Nov. 8, 2019 death, the Division of Criminal Justice said.
The infant’s mother said she fed the child and then left the baby with Rodriguez while she went to work, officials said.
Rodriguez told investigators that the child was fine in the morning, but he called 911 in the afternoon when he found her face down in bed, according to authorities.
