A Bridgeport man was arrested Thursday after police say he pulled a gun on his cousin and robbed him.
“The warrant affidavit alleges that Mercer contacted his cousin to advise him that he had located his vehicle that was reported stolen,” a news release said. “Mercer told his cousin to meet him with $1,000 for services rendered. The two met on Union Avenue, when Mercer pulled out a black handgun and demanded he give him the $1,000, Mercer shot him twice and ran off with the $1,000.”
Around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Bridgeport police investigated a black Nissan Altima for having “extremely dark windows,” near the scene of the incident.
