A 16-year-old is under arrest after a hatchet attack on another teen during a home invasion in Watertown Wednesday, police said.
The wounded teenager has serious injuries to the head, legs and hands, but is expected to survive, they said. The teens know each other.
The attack happened in a house on Morris Town Line Highway about 4 p.m. Family members rushed to the victim’s aid and interrupted the assault. One called 911 while the other chased the 16-year-old, who jumped out a second-story window and ran into the woods with the family member in pursuit, police said.
