The body of an adult man was pulled from a pond in New Haven’s Edgewood Park Saturday morning after a passerby in the park spotted the body and called police, police in New Haven said.
The victim was pronounced dead after being transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, police said. His identity was not immediately released.
The city fire department’s water rescue removed the man from the park’s ice-covered Duck Pond after a call to 911 from the passerby came just before 9 a.m.
