A Bloomfield woman accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend during a domestic dispute late last week told police he was a high-ranking gang member and that she now feared the group would try to kill her and her young son, newly released court documents show.
Marvyann Duncan, 37, begged police for protection before having an “uncontrollable emotional” breakdown at the scene, wavering repeatedly between fearing she would be killed and not knowing what happened at all, according to an arrest warrant affidavit released Tuesday morning.
She was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation, where she remained under police guard Tuesday, and police obtained a warrant to charge her with the murder of her 39-year-old boyfriend.
