Detectives on Monday were seeking a warrant to search a car that drew gunfire last week in Bloomfield, wounding a passenger, police said.
The wounded man, who was injured on his torso, was released from the hospital the night of the shooting and is expected to recover. It’s possible that he wasn’t actually shot but, rather, was wounded by flying car fragments, Capt. Stephen Hajdasz said.
According to police, officers were called about 9 p.m. Thursday to Saint Francis Hospital, where a patient was being treated for what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Hospital staff learned that the shooting had happened on Greenbriar Drive in Bloomfield.
