A Bloomfield man has been arrested and charged with weapons and firearms offenses shortly after Hartford detectives spotted him in the area of a non-fatal shooting Monday afternoon in the Upper Albany neighborhood.
Devonte Channer, 25, has not been charged in connection with the shooting itself, but police did find him in possession of a stolen .380 Ruger handgun, crack cocaine and more than $7,500 in cash in his car near the scene, Lt. Paul Cicero said.
“The investigation into the shooting incident remains under investigation,” Cicero said. “Additional charges will be added if found to be applicable.
