A New Britain woman was arrested on manslaughter charges connected to a car crash in March that killed two people, Southington police said Monday.
Gabriella Correa, 22, faces two counts of second-degree manslaughter along with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, traveling too fast for conditions and reckless driving. Correa was released on bail of $250,000 and is to appear in court on Feb. 16, police said.
The crash happened on March 14 at about 8:45 p.m. on Andrews Street by the Shuttle Meadow Reservoir, between Long Bottom and Caretaker roads, police said. Correa was driving a Honda CR-V with three passengers toward New Britain when she apparently lost control, crossed the double yellow line and struck several large rocks and the guardrail, police said.
