Southington police have arrested a man who they said threatened a girl with a knife and sexually assaulted her.
Miguel Ruiz, 51, of South Main Street in Waterbury turned himself in Friday and was arrested on a warrant charging him with aggravated sexual assault of a victim under 13, first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Ruiz posted a $150,000 court-set bail after his arrest and was arraigned Monday in Superior Court in New Britain. His next court date was scheduled for Oct. 6.
