With one waving a Trump flag and another wielding a bullhorn, a handful of anti-mask activists confronted Gov. Ned Lamont Wednesday morning at a groundbreaking event at alongside the new Berlin train station.
About five opponents of Lamont’s coronavirus-related restrictions disrupted the ceremony with shouts and chants, forcing the governor to curtail his remarks. Among some Connecticut residents, frustration with the governor’s executive actions has swelled in recent weeks, particularly after Lamont’s August decision to extend his emergency powers through early February.
“I’m going to follow him to every event,” said Aaron McCool of Naugatuck, who held the bullhorn at the Berlin event.
