Anthony Todt, the Colchester physical therapist accused of killing his wife and three children in their Florida home, will face trial starting in late September, a judge said Wednesday.
During a hearing at the Osceola County Courthouse near Orlando, Florida, Circuit Judge Keith A. Carsten scheduled a three-week trial period starting Sept. 27 in Todt’s case, after attorneys on both sides said they were unavailable until that time.
Todt, who appeared remotely from the Osceola County Jail, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of animal cruelty in the killings of his wife, 42-year-old Megan Todt; the couple’s children Alek, 13, Tyler, 11, and Zoe, 4; and their dog Breezy.
