On April 6, a Very Smart Blogger opined that Amida Brimah was one frontcourt injury away from his first NBA minutes.
That prediction is one step closer to becoming true, as the Indiana Pacers have signed Brimah to a two-way contract. On Monday, it was announced Pacers star center Myles Turner was out indefinitely with a toe injury.
The Pacers are jockeying for better seeding in the Eastern Conference. Indiana currently sits at the ninth, only 4.5 games back from the fourth-place Atlanta Hawks. Not only is Turner out for the foreseeable future, but fellow big man Domantas Sabonis is also day-to-day with a back injury and Goga Bitadze is battling an ankle injury.
