Hundreds of Connecticut teachers who were not yet eligible for the COVID vaccine have been cleared to go ahead and sign up amid confusion over how the next phase of the state’s vaccination program is rolling out.
Connecticut last week approved a dramatically expanded pool of state residents for phase 1B of the vaccine plan. But — with more than one million in that group — the goal was to roll out the plan in waves. That means that some Phase 1B groups will become eligible before others. The only currently eligible Phase 1B group is residents who are 75 or older.
