As a dramatic decline in air travel forces major airlines to make cutbacks at two airports in Connecticut, the top official at the Connecticut Airport Authority Thursday called for a coronavirus testing option at Bradley International Airport, arguing the state’s travel advisory is pulling down air traffic more than is necessary.
“Not only only is there depressed demand because of the pandemic, the travel advisory is artificially depressing that demand even further,” Kevin Dillon, the authority’s executive director, said Thursday. “If you’re trying to do business here in the state, you’re going to fly up here, quarantine for 14 days and the conduct your one or two days of business?
