A “highly-aggressive,” 2000-pound steer is on loose in Plymouth, and police are asking the public to be careful.
The steer was last seen in the area of Route 72 and Judd Road in the Terryville section of town, police said. Officers with the local department and with the state’s environmental agency are looking for the animal.
“There is a public safety concern, so we are asking everyone traveling in this area to do so with caution,” police said in an early-afternoon alert. “If you spot this animal, DO NOT approach, they said. The steer weighs about 2,000 pounds and “can be highly aggressive.
