A 67-year-old man died on Christmas Day following a motor vehicle accident on Collins Street in Hartford.
According to a police department news release, the two-car collision occured at the intersection with Sigourney Street just after 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a black Chevrolet Malibu and a grey Nissan Sentra that had collided at the intersection. The Chevy was driven by a 27-year-old man who was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what police characterized as “non-life-threatening injuries.”
A 67-year-old man driving the NIssan was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center with what police said was “life threatening injuries.
