Hartford detectives conducting an operation in the city's South End this week captured five teens in two stolen cars, including a 16-year-old boy suspected of shooting and injuring two in July.
Vice, narcotics and auto theft officers were scouring the South End on Wednesday when they spotted two cars that had been reported stolen, Lt. Paul Cicero said.
They pulled both over on Zion Street and apprehended five total teens between the two cars, all of whom were charged with combinations of larceny and narcotics offenses, Cicero said.
The 16-year-old boy was taken into custody and identified as the suspected shooter in a July 18 incident that injured two in the South End, Cicero said.
