Three people have been arrested on gun charges related to the shooting death of 19-year-old Makhi Buckly, who was killed in broad daylight in Hartford’s Southwest neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Police did not immediately disclose the names and exact charges of those had been arrested, but a spokesman confirmed Wednesday afternoon the arrests were linked to the killing of Buckly, a Division II football player at American International College in Springfield and grandson of Carl Hardick, a lifelong street-violence prevention worker known as “Brother Carl.”
