UConn women’s basketball’s hot stretch on recruiting trail has continued. On Saturday, the Huskies landed a commitment from Ayanna Patterson, the No. 3 player and No. 1 wing in the class of 2022, according to ESPN. She chose UConn over Indiana, Louisville, Notre Dame, and UCLA.
Listed at 6-foot-2, Patterson hails from Fort Wayne, Indiana and plays at Homestead High School. She’s regarded as an athletic forward that can get to the rim but also hit pull-up jumpers. She’s also strong defensively and on the glass with “off-the-charts potential”, according to ESPN.
Last August, Patterson posted a video of herself throwing down a two-handed dunk.
