UConn men’s basketball has locked in its first Class of 2022 recruit as Corey Floyd Jr. verbally committed to UConn Thursday night.
Floyd is a 6-foot-4 combo guard and a four-star recruit ranked 107th in the 2022 class by Rivals. He plays at Roselle Catholic in Roselle, New Jersey. He told Tipton Edits that head coach Dan Hurley’s staff recruited him to be an “instant impact player” and to “score the ball.”
Based on his highlight film, Floyd can maneuver through traffic in the lane and finish at the rim, while also displaying a smooth and accurate stroke from deep.
