2019 NCAA Tournament: UConn Women’s Basketball a 2-Seed in Albany Regional

For the first time in 12 years, the UConn women’s basketball team won’t be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Instead, the Huskies are the second seed in the Albany Regional, with Louisville taking the top seed.

UConn will play CAA champions Towson in the first round. Assuming the Huskies handle business, UConn will play the winner of No. 7 Rutgers and No. 10 Buffalo. As a top-four seed, the Huskies will host the first two rounds of the tournament on-campus at Gampel Pavilion.
