Two people were shot Wednesday evening near an apartment building in Hartford’s West End and a “person of interest” was taken into custody, police said.
The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. at the apartments near the intersection of Sisson and Farmington avenues, Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.
The first emergency personnel on the scene found two victims with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and they were transported to area hospitals for treatment, Boisvert said. Police locked down the area around the scene and remained there into late Wednesday night.
A person of interest was taken into custody not long after the shooting but police did not indicate whether that person ultimately would be charged.
