One person suffered life-threatening injuries after a roof collapsed Tuesday afternoon at a Rocky Hill construction site.
Crews were working at the site at 24 Evans Road when steel beams fell at about 1:30 p.m. and trapped one person, police Sgt. Steve Morgan said about two hours later.
Police officers and firefighters rushed to the scene within minutes of the initial call and extricated the person from the roof with life-threatening injuries.
Rocky Hill firefighters oversaw the scene into the late afternoon while the Rocky Hill Building Department and Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials responded to the scene to investigated what led to the collapse, Morgan said.
