SACRAMENTO – When Lonzo Ball gets a sniffle, UCLA calls paramedics.
So when Ball fell from the sky and landed on the Golden One Center floor Friday night, the thud reverberated southward and played tricks with the CalTech seismograph.
Ball was going upstairs for a lob, a role-reversal of sorts, with Aaron Holiday throwing the ball up from the left wing.
Kent State’s Kevin Zabo got underneath Ball on the way down, and the national Freshman of the Year couldn’t get the ripcord pulled.
“He didn’t have a chance to get his hands out to brace himself,” Bryce Alford said.
