What’s Bruin: UCLA Men’s Golf in Fourth After First Round at NCAA Regional

The men’s golf team kicked off action at the NCAA Regional tournament in Bryan, Texas by shooting a par 288. That puts the Bruins in fourth place so far behind Texas A&M, Baylor, and Clemson. UCLA is five strokes ahead of fifth-place South Carolina. The top five teams from each regional advance to the NCAA Championships.

Individually, junior Cole Madey is one shot off the individual lead after shooting a 3-under 69 yesterday. Sophomore Hidetoshi Yoshihara and freshmen Devon Bling and Eddy Lai each shot a 1-over 73 yesterday, which ties them for 22nd place.
