For once, UNLV Rebels commit Derrick Jones is not the high school basketball recruit winning a dunk contest. This time around, the honors went to UCLA Bruins commit Kobe Paras.
Paras won the FIBA U18 3×3 World Championships dunk contest over the weekend in Debrecen, Hungary.
Currently attending Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, Paras is representing the Philippines in the tournament. To win the dunk contest, Paras edged North Carolina commit Jalek Felton, who is representing the United States.
