UCLA's Myles Jack might not be plying all trades this season

SAN BERNARDINO – Late in spring practice, Myles Jack, the versatile junior linebacker, tried another position.

Though primarily a linebacker, Jack has carried the ball 66 times as a running back during his first two seasons at UCLA. So, naturally, he began returning kicks as well in spring practice.

It’s a tryout that has continued a week into training camp, but it’s one that might turn out to be nothing more than experimental.

“That’s something we’re just toying with right now,” special teams coordinator Scott White said. “I don’t anticipate that being something we go forward with.
