PASADENA – Jim Mora was 24 seconds from ending his most burdensome streak at UCLA.
Stanford’s final pass on Saturday night must have hung in the air for what seemed like longer than that but when it came down, Stanford’s J.J. Arcega-Whiteside wrapped his hands around it for the game’s first touchdown since the first quarter, giving No. 7 Stanford the lead with 24 seconds left in an eventual 22-13 victory over UCLA on Saturday night.
For all their coach has done to elevate UCLA in five-plus seasons, Mora is now 0-6 against the Cardinal.
