Several hours after posting $100,000 bail release from jail following his arrest over the weekend on suspicion of felony robbery, UCLA cornerback Ishmael Adams was suspended indefinitely.

UCLA coach Jim Mora announced the suspension after the Bruins' practice Tuesday afternoon.

Adams allegedly used force to steal an Uber driver's cell phone early Sunday morning.

UCLA opens the season Saturday at home against Virginia.

Adams, a redshirt junior, was supposed to be an integral part of the Bruins' defense.
