LOS ANGELES – Nate Iese leveled the biggest hit in UCLA’s blowout win over UNLV on Saturday night.
In the second quarter, Iese caught a pass from Josh Rosen in the flat, then pummeled an incoming cornerback for a 15-yard gain. The scene drew a flurry of oohs and aahs from the split Sam Boyd Stadium crowd.
“That’s what’s expected when you weigh 250 pounds and a corner is all alone in the flat playing cover 2,” Iese said Monday, a day after the Bruins returned to campus.
Iese, a fourth-year junior fullback, has long stood as one of the most intriguing athletic talents on this team’s roster.
