UCLA Women’s Water Polo Starts NCAA Tournament Against Pacific Tigers

Overall, UCLA had a good regular season. The Bruins only lost to three teams prior to today. But, it isn’t all rosy. That’s because those three teams are the ones potentially standing in between UCLA and a national championship if the Bruins beat Pacific this afternoon.

UCLA enters the NCAA Women’s Water Polo Tournament as the #4 seed behind #1 Southern Cal, #2 Stanford, and #3 UC Berkeley. The Bruins record against the top three teams is a dismal 1-7. How bad has it been against these rivals?

It’s almost been bad enough to overlook UCLA’s other 21 victories, but the fact is that two of those wins came against today’s opponent the Pacific Tigers.
