LOS ANGELES – Kari Korver scored 21 points, hitting seven 3-pointers, and fourth-seeded UCLA routed fifth-seeded Texas A&M, 75-43, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday night at Pauley Pavilion.
The Bruins’ reward is a date with top-seeded UConn on Saturday in Bridgeport, Conn. The Huskies defeated Syracuse by 30 points Monday evening to win their 109th consecutive game.
UCLA (25-8) led 42-21 at halftime and 62-31 heading into the fourth quarter after outscoring Texas A&M 20-10 in the third, holding the Aggies without a point over the final 5:18. The Bruins led by as much as 70-33 midway through the fourth quarter.
