UCLA vs. No. 20 Cal: Who has the edge?

OFFENSE

UCLA was routed at Stanford last week, but its offense marched along, scoring 35 points and averaging 6.9 yards per play. It wasn’t nearly enough. Quarterback Josh Rosen has gone through freshman growing pains (six interceptions in the past four games), but has at times been very impressive. He has completed 59 percent of his passes for 1,568 yards and 12 touchdowns. Running back Paul Perkins is dangerous, but the offensive line might have trouble opening holes if left tackle Conor McDermott (knee) or right guard Alex Redmond (hand) cannot play. Cal, meanwhile, features an offense as explosive as any in the Pac-12.
