After a nail-bitting win in extra innings on Thursday night and a tense one-run affair on Friday, the UCLA Softball team made the next step in trying to win their 12th national title and UCLA’s 114th.
On Friday, UCLA had a no-hitter going through six innings. UCLA was up 4-0 when Ole Miss struck back with five runs on six hits.
The Bruins managed to tie the game in the next inning and force extra innings as the Rebels and Bruins were blanked in the 8th and 9th.
Ole Miss, who was making their first appearance in the Super Regionals, almost had their first win in that round.
