This was a big win on several levels for the UCLA Football team. Not only did an injury-plagued Bruin squad assert itself on all sides of the ball, but they showed that they can quickly learn from their mistakes, especially from the first quarter to the second.
The first quarter was an extension of last week’s Colorado game. The Bruin defense was letting an inferior Oregon State team run all over them, while the Bruin offense started with two 3 and outs and was once again plagued with (everybody at the same time) penalties!
The good thing for the Bruins was that OSU QB Nick Mitchell was not very accurate on his throws.
