UCLA Football Recruiting: Devin Asiasi Picks Michigan Over UCLA

A self-professed lifelong USC fan, Asiasi was also considering USC, Alabama, and Washington. Unfortunately, he is now heading to Michigan.

UCLA seemingly had him with the hire of Marques Tuiasosopo, who had been Asiasi’s lead recruiter and main point of contact on the USC staff. It was also widely assumed that Asiasi would commit with his best friend and high school teammate, four-star defensive tackle Boss Tagaloa. The two visited UCLA together in mid-December.

At 6’4″ and 270 lbs., Asiasi is an absolute giant whose body seems to project better on the defensive line in college, but whose tight end skills have wowed observers who are shocked that a player his size can run and catch the way that he does.
