After fielding offers from Arizona, Arizona State, UC Berkeley, and Colorado, Shamar Martin decided to bring his talents to Westwood. This morning, he made it official by submitting his National Letter of Intent to the UCLA Bruins.
Shamar is a talented athlete with skills on both sides of the ball. He has played cornerback and running back in high school, but was recruited for defense. In fact, he even turned himself into a quarterback at one point this season.
His skill at the running back position was put on the back burner as he hails from the same high school as UCLA running back Martell Irby and Tim Patrick another talented running back who plays at Utah State, but he (#4) can also field a snap and take it to the house:
Or stick with his man and keep opposing offenses from scoring:
Thanks to Hudl for both highlights.
