Last night, the UCLA Bruins picked up two new commitments for the 2019 recruiting class.
One of those is 3-star defensive back Shamar Martin from Morse HS in San Diego. Martin chose UCLA last night over eight other Pac-12 schools.
Arizona State made a late push after Martin visited Tempe last week, but he also had offers from Southern Cal, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State and Arizona.
According to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, Martin is following “his best friend and Morse teammate Martell Irby, who will be a freshman with the Bruins this fall after signing with the Bruins in the 2018 class.
