If the Quarterback Battle Royale wasn’t already up in the air, UCLA football head coach Chip Kelly has one more thing to worry about as starting QB Wilton Speight is “day to day” with a back injury he sustained against Cincinnati.
Speight had to leave the game in the second quarter after getting landed on by a few Cincinnati defenders after a play ended.
Back injuries are serious enough, but this is particularly concerning as Speight had a serious injury that took him out for the season last year at Michigan when he broke three vertebrae.
